Bappelitbangda and BPS-Statistics Ternate Municipality Hold 2026 Kelurahan Cantik Monev Meeting

Thursday, 11 June 2026 – Regional Development and Research Planning Office (Bappelitbangda) of Ternate Municipality and BPS-Statistics Ternate Municipality held a Monitoring and Evaluation Meeting on the Kelurahan Cinta Statistik (Kelurahan Cantik) Programme for 2026. The event took place in the Auditorium of Bappelitbangda and attended by Heads of Subdistrict and the statistical agents who are the focus of the development programme, as well as officials from Bappelitbangda of Ternate Municipality.

This monitoring and evaluation meeting was held to discuss the progress made in implementing the ‘Kelurahan Cantik’ Programme, to identify the various challenges, and to formulate the necessary follow-up actions.

The event began with an opening speech and guidance from the Head of Bappelitbangda, Ir. Thamrin Marsaoly, SP., M.Sc. In his speech, he emphasised the importance of data in formulating local policies.

‘We must instil the idea that the ‘Kelurahan Cantik’ Programme as  a routine activity, not merely a one-off programme. It is hoped that this initiative will yield beneficial results,’ said the Head of Bappelitbangda.

In line with this, the Head of BPS-Statistics Ternate Municipality, Ahmad Abdurrahman, SST, in his speech, expressed his appreciation for the commitment of all parties involved. He stated that the “Kelurahan Cantik” programme is not merely administrative guidance, but an effort to improve the statistical literacy of Sub-District Officers so that they are able to manage and utilise data independently.

This monitoring and evaluation meeting was followed by a presentation by the ‘Kelurahan Cantik’ advisory team from the BPS-Statistics Ternate Municipality, and concluded with a discussion and question-and-answer session to formulate a follow-up action plan aimed at optimising the implementation of the ‘Kelurahan Cantik’ programme in Ternate.
